OSU, Portland Play Ball On Tuesday At 2:30
Feb. 14, 2005
CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State will play the earliest home-opener in its 96-year baseball history when it hosts Portland on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. The Beavers (3-1 overall) and Pilots (0-1) added the game to their schedules after both were rained out of the final four days of the Oakland Athletics Tournament in Phoenix, Ariz., last weekend.
Admission for Tuesday's game will be free. The game time has been moved up 30 minutes from the start time that was originally announced.
After Tuesday's game, Oregon State goes to the San Diego Tournament this weekend. The Beavers will meet California-Davis on Saturday at 1 p.m. and then host San Diego on Sunday at 2 p.m. and Monday at 2 p.m.
OSU's regularly-scheduled home season begins with a series against California-Riverside on March 4-6. Season tickets for the Beavers' 25 home games starting with that series are now on sale; they include a reserved seat for each game at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field and can be obtained by calling 1-800-GO BEAVS or at the Gill Coliseum ticket office.
Season ticket prices are $100 for the general public, $80 for OSU faculty and staff, and $80 for those age 62 and over. There is also a Pac-10 Package for $50, which provides a reserved seat for the 12 Pac-10 home games against California, Washington State, Arizona State and Southern California.
A Family Plan is available, providing general admission seating for all home games for $20 per adult and $10 per child through high school. To buy a family plan, fans must purchase at least one adult and one child ticket.
