Rain Interrupts Women's Tennis Vs. Cal

Feb. 18, 2005

BERKELEY, Calif. - Washington's eighth-ranked women's tennis team had its match with No. 17 California halted during the middle of singles action today due to persistent rains. Play will be resumed on Sunday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m.

The Golden Bears owned a 1-0 match lead behind a doubles point victory. Most singles matches were one set completed when the weather forced the postponement.

In-between today and Sunday's conclusion, the Huskies will visit top-ranked Stanford tomorrow, Feb. 19, for a 12 noon match against the defending NCAA Champion Cardinal.
