Moore Leads Rally To Beat Oregon, 66-56

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Steve Moore scored 17 points in the second half, leadingArizona State's rally from a 13-point deficit, and the Sun Devils beat Oregon66-56 Saturday night.

Ike Diogu was 9-of-15 from the field and Moore 9-of-16, helping the SunDevils (18-9, 7-8 Pac-10) overcome an otherwise dismal team performance.

Diogu had with 23 points, but missed six free throws two nights aftermissing a career-worst seven in a 75-73 win over Oregon State.

Malik Hairston had 18 points and Aaron Brooks 17 for the Ducks (12-11,4-10). Brooks scored 12 in the second half, but couldn't keep his team fromlosing for the eighth time in nine games.

Hairston and Mitch Platt had three-point plays as Oregon opened a 38-25 lead1:20 into the second half.

Diogu started the rally by dunking an offensive rebound, and Moore had threestraight baskets in a 1:36 span when the Sun Devils caught up, tying the gameat 42 with a 3-pointer with 11:57 remaining.

Jason Braxton gave Arizona State its first lead, 50-49, when he stole theball from Brooks on the dribble and dunked with 8:09 left. The Sun Devils tookover for good at 54-53 on Diogu's short jumper with 5:33 to go, Moore made abaseline runner, Diogu scored and Moore opened a 60-53 lead with a 14-footerwith 2:30 left.

Hairston scored eight points in the game's first 2:54, and the Ducks racedto a 16-6 lead on Jordan Kent's basket with 13:47 left.

Arizona State, which was 2-for-12 over the same period, began to shootbetter and cut its deficit to 22-21 when Bryson Krueger made a 3-pointer with6:22 to go.

But Bryce Taylor made two 3-pointers after that, and the Ducks led 30-25 athalftime.
