Sunday Softball Washed Away

Feb. 20, 2005

SAN DIEGO - For the second straight day and fourth time over two weekends, UCLA Softball's scheduled games were rained out. The Bruins were scheduled to play on Sunday against Florida International and host San Diego State in the final day of action at the Campbell/Cartier Softball Tournament in San Diego.

UCLA has now lost eight games to rain in the last 10 days and will have played just two games in a 18-day span heading into the Palm Springs Classic next weekend (Feb. 25-27).

The long-range forecast for next weekend's weather currently looks to be free of rain. The Bruins are scheduled to play Bethune-Cookman and Notre Dame on Friday, Feb. 25, at the Big League Field of Dreams complex in Cathedral City, Calif., on the first day of the Palm Springs Classic.
