Tim Clark Signs Letter of Intent to Play Football

Feb. 21, 2005

Corvallis, Ore. - Tim Clark of Cathedral High School in Los Angeles has signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Oregon State University, Beaver head coach Mike Riley announced Monday.

The 6-2, 175-pound cornerback prospect made 32 tackles as a defensive back last season. He also played wide receiver and running back during his high school career. The senior team captain helped Cathedral to a 9-3 record and to a second-place finish in the conference.

Clark was a first team All-Del Rey League selection on offense and defense as a senior, and earned mention on the All-CIF Southern Section team as a cornerback. He also was an all-league member on defense as a sophomore. Clark played only three games as a junior due to an injury.

Clark is also a standout in track competing in the 200 meters and on the relay teams. He was the league champion in the 200 as a junior.

The addition of Clark gives OSU six incoming defensive backs for the 2005 season. The Beavers will have two new starters at the cornerback positions and one at free safety.
