Cardinal Golf In Sixth After Two Rounds At Wildcat Invite

Tucson, Ariz. - The Stanford women's golf team shot rounds of 303 and 293 on the first day of competition at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Arizona, and are in sixth place overall heading into the final round of competition. UCLA leads the field with a two-round total of 573, followed by host-Arizona (578) and Tennessee (580). Rounding out the top five are Arizona State (585) and Oklahoma State (593).

Arizona State's Louise Stahle sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 136. She is followed by UCLA's Charlotte Mayorkas (138) and Tennessee's Violeta Retmoza (138).

Leading the Cardinal is golfer Kelly Husted,who is tied for 15th overall, after carding rounds of 76 and 71 (147). Teammates Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana (78-71) and Lauren Todd (75-74) are tied for 20th with a 149.

Senior Wendra Liang is tied for 30th with a 151 (74-77) while Jenna Seki is tied for 59th (80-81-161).

Stanford will tee off tomorrow in the final round at an 8 a.m. MT shotgun start. The tournament is being contested at the Arizona National Golf Club (par 71, over a 6,238 yard layout).
