Cardinal Women Take Seventh At Wildcat Invitational

Tucson, Ariz. - The Stanford women's golf team shot a final round of 299 at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Arizona, to bring their three-round score to 895 (303-293-299) and finished seventh overall. UCLA won the tournament with a 12-over par 864 while host-Arizona, finished a stroke behind (865). Rounding out the top five were Tennessee (876), Arizona State (877) and Pepperdine (883).

Three Cardinal golfers placed in the top 25 individually. Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana (78-71-74), Kelly Husted (76-71-76) and Lauren Todd (75-74-74) shot a 10-over par 223 to tie for 20th. Senior Wendra Liang recorded a 30th place showing after carding a 226 (74-77-75).

ASU's Louise Stahle took top individual honors after firing a four-under par 209. UCLA's Charlotte Mayorkas was second, just a stroke off the pace with a 227. Violeta Retamoza (Tennessee) and Lani Elston (Arizona) tied for third (212).
