DelVaughn Alexander Leaves Football Program

Feb. 23, 2005

Corvallis, Ore. - Oregon State University head football coach Mike Riley has announced that assistant coach DelVaughn Alexander has left the program to pursue other opportunities.

Alexander served as the program's wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator since March of 2003.

The 33-year-old Alexander came to OSU from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas where he was the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach. Alexander was an assistant for Riley in 1999 with the San Diego Chargers and was on the same coaching staff with Riley at USC for 1995 and '96. He also was a coach for the Trojans in 1997 and at UNLV in '98.

Riley expects to fill the void in his staff in the near future.
