Getting To Know Anna Beardman
Feb. 23, 2005
The Stanford softball team will be fun to watch this year because:
We have an awesome group of girls that all work hard to contribute their skills to the team and we have a great offensive lineup, so our games will be exciting!
For me to improve as a player I need to:
Focus on the things that I can control, have a positive, aggressive attitude, and have fun because that is when I play best.
A friend from another college softball team:
There are too many, I have friends in every conference.
The thing I like about sports is:
Favorite midnight snack:
Peanut Butter, by far.
What makes Boyd and Jill Smith Family Stadium so special:
The maintenance that our team performs on the field is remarkable. We do everything we can to keep the field looking its best.
If I had to cook all of my meals, I'd probably survive on:
Peanut Butter and Jelly.
Favorite T.V. show:
The Bachelorette, CSI.
My parents were right when they told me:
That if I worked hard I could achieve anything I put my mind to.
I'd like to switch places for a day with:
Barry Bonds, so I could get his swing down.
Favorite non-softball activity:
If you were going on a road trip and could only take one cd, which one would you take:
An 80's mix.
The best advice I ever received was:
Opponent you would most like to beat:
Everyone in Pac-10.
The current or former Stanford athlete I most enjoy watching perform:
My fellow teammates.
Johnny Depp/ Will Farrell
If I could bring anything from my hometown to Stanford it would be:
Our dog KIWI.
Since coming to Stanford I have learned:
Too much to communicate with you in just a few sentences.
After my Stanford career is over, I'd like to be remembered as:
A hard worker, someone that was never satisfied and strived for more, but enjoyed the journey.
Least Favorite Food:
Favorite sport other than softball:
If I won $1 million dollars, I would:
Probably squander it on my friends and family, or use it to create a band with Laura Severson and Shoney Hixson.
Best Book I've Read:
If I could go up against any other Stanford athlete (non women's softball) it would be:
The men's baseball team in batting practice...that would be fun.
