Oregon State Swims To 7th Place Overall After Day One at Pac-10 Championships

Federal, Wash. - Oregon State finished the first day of the Pacific-10 Championships in seventh place on Wednesday evening at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash. The 800-yard freestyle relay team finished in seventh place and the 200-yard medley relay team finished eighth.
The 800-yard medley relay team consisted of Courtney Eads, Sandy Hong, Erika Wirth, and Senior all-american Mari Embertson. The four finished seventh with a time of 7:24.27. The 200-yard medley relay team consisting of Ausra Pacebutaite, Felicia Castenada, Christina Kinney, and Kristin Huston finished eighth with a time of 1:43.51.
Oregon State currently leads last place Washington State by six and eighth place Washington by four points. Stanford University leads all competitors with an overall score of 120. Action continues Thursday morning at 11 a.m., with the finals commencing at 6 p.m. Four events are scheduled for Thursday - the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle, and the 200 freestyle relay.
