USC Women's Golf Finishes Eighth At Lady Puerto Rico Classic

San Juan, PR - Sophomore Veronica Felibert shot a 15-over-par 231 to lead the USC Women's Golf team to an 8th place finish in the Lady Puerto Classic.
Felibert tied for 25th place and shot a team-low 75 in the final round in order to pull the Women of Troy ahead of 9th place Purdue. USC finished 41 strokes behind tournament team champion No. 3 Auburn (888).
TCU finished second with 909 strokes and University of Florida finished a close third with 910 strokes.
Freshman Dewi-Claire Shreefe, two weeks off her USC debut, tied for 27th place with 232. Tanya Dergal and Catalina Martin tied for 39th place overall with 235 each.
Junior Irene Cho finished 51st after a fourth-place performance at theNorthrop Grunman Regional Challenge two weeks ago.
Diana Ramage led Auburn University in the Lady Puerto Classic with a first-place individual finish of 216.
The Women of Troy will play next in the Ping Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., on April 1-3.
