Gooooooooooood morning Southern California!!!

This is Camille LeNoir reporting to you live with your 6 a.m. sports report. Today's segment will be about success, change, and challenge in the town of Troy.

There's a lot that has happened for the women's basketball team this year. Many look at this team as a group of role players and over-achievers that shouldn't be in the position that they're in.

What position is that you ask?

Well let me break it down for you. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at approximately 3 p.m, the Women of Troy will be hosting rival UCLA at the Sports Arena for their final home and regular Pac-10 season game.

There's a lot of importance to this game.

1.) It's against UCLA... which is clearly our crosstown rival.
2.) If the Women of Troy can pull off the win, it puts them in the position to be one of 64 schools to attend the NCAA Tournament. That's somewhere they haven't been since 1997.

That's the Big Dance every team wants to attend. And how great would it be to see a new coaching staff lead a team of role players and over-achievers to be a part of that March Madness? As Dick Vitale would put it, 'It's gonna be awesome baby with a capital A!'

Last, but certainly not least, if the Trojans win, they could finish second in the Pac-10. USC was picked to finish seventh. Boy would that be great to see this team, which was picked to finish seventh, finish second and make it to the tournament.

So I encourage you all to support this hard-working team as they fight to prove the world wrong. As they try to tame the Bruins. As they try to keep the USC tradition going.

Well that's my time! I hope you all will support this team by going out to the game and if anything prevents you from attending, catch it on television. The game will be showing on FOX Sports Net.

In the words of any honorable Trojan, FIGHT ON!!!!
