Women's Basketball to Appear on the Food Network on Monday

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State University women's basketball team will appear on an episode of Food 911 on the Food Network on Monday afternoon.

The episode, which is entitled 'Slam Dunk Dinner, will premier at 4 p.m. Mountain Time on Monday, Feb. 28 on the Food Network (Channel 46 on Cox Cable). It will run again at 8:30 a.m. MT on Saturday, March 5.

ASU taped the episode of Food 911 last February. Graduated senior Jen Albert, junior Kristen Kovesdy and sophomore Jill Noe all helped chef Tyler Florence prepare a healthy pre-game meal for their teammates.

Florence has received acclaim from the national culinary community for his creativity and dedication to the art of cooking. He has been recognized as a leading chef by publications such as Food & Wine, GQ, Wall Street Journal, USA Weekend and People.

In addition to starring on Food 911 and establishing himself on the New York food scene, he also has hosted other Food Network shows, including Tyler's Ultimate, Planet Food, All-American Festivals and My Country, My Kitchen. Author of Tyler Florence's Real Kitchen, Florence is a regular on NBC's TODAY show and has appeared on The View, Rosie, E! and Access Hollywood among other shows.
