Huskies Swim Day Three of the Pac-10 Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash.- The Washington women's swim team continued the third day of competition at the Pac-10 championships on Friday in Federal Way, Washington. The meet took place at the King County Aquatic Center. The Huskies were led by senior Desiree Johnson, who swam a season-best 55.21 in the 100 backstroke. Her time was good enough to place her seventh and earn Washington 23 points.
Brittany Epperson shattered her personal-best and season high time of 58.42 in the 100 butterfly, as she finished with a time of 56.52. Her time was good enough to place her sixth all-time in school history in the event.
Husky freshman Jessica Buchanan had a strong showing in the 100 breaststroke, as she earned Washington another 17 points and finished 10th with a time of 1:03.40. Other Huskies in the event included Erin Kloos, Megan Bright and Melissa Chandler, who took 22-24th respectively.
The Huskies continue more Pac-10 Championship action tomorrow in Federal Way, Washington.
