Stanford, Calif. - Rightfielder Meghan Sickler notched three RBI to help the fourth-ranked Stanford softball team to an 8-0 win over UC Davis tonight in the Stanford Invitational. The Cardinal improve to 12-1 overall while the Aggies drop to 3-11.

Stanford got on the board in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, Tricia Aggabao drew a walk to score Jackie Rinehart. Meghan Sickler then doubled to rightfield, scoring Lauren Lappin, Leah Nelson and Aggabao.

In the bottom of the third, Lappin started off the inning with a walk. She advanced to second on a flyout to rightfield then scored on a single up the middle by Nelson.

Jackie Rinehart led off the fifth inning with a triple to left centerfield. Lappin singled to centerfield to score Rinehart. Michelle Smith singled down the leftfield line in the next at bat, scoring Lappin.

Meghan Sickler went 1-for-2 at the plate with three RBI while Lauren Lappin had a 1-for-2 effort with three runs scored and an RBI. Jackie Rinehart added two runs to the Stanford total.

Freshman Lauren Nydam (4-0) picked up the win in the circle, pitching five scoreless innings with two strikeouts. Rachel Kelly took the loss for the Aggies, allowing five runs over three innings of work.

Stanford now takes on Texas Tech in the final game of the day.
