Men's Golf In Sixth After First Round Of Puerto Rico Classic

The Arizona State University men's golf team is in sixth place after the first round of the Puerto Rico Classic held on Sunday, as the Sun Devils (-4/284) were one of eight teams to shoot par or better. The Sun Devils trail leader Georgia by just six strokes.

Both Alejandro Canizares and Kendall Critchfield shot 3-under 69 and are tied for seventh, while Jesse Mueller (72) is tied for 30th. Pat Moore (2-over 74) is tied for 44th while Niklas Lemke (5-over 77) is tied for 75th.

The Westin Rio Mari Golf Club is hosting the event, which will have 18 holes Monday and Tuesday.
