Bruin Blue Team Tied for Second Entering Final Round

The UCLA Blue Team was tied for second place entering the final round at the 6th Annual Cougar Invitational, hosted by Cal State San Marcos at San Luis Rey Downs Golf Course in Bonsall, CA.

The Bruins posted a team score of 580 (+12) and were tied with Holy Names University for second place. Host Cal State San Marcos led the field at 565 (-3). Point Loma Nazarene was fourth at 585.

Individually, UCLA sophomore Chris Heintz was tied for eighth place at 144 (+2) after posting rounds of 73-71. Freshmen Brandon Christianson and Craig Leslie were tied for 13th at 145 (+3) after rounds of 74-71. Freshman Mike Marshall was tied for 15th at 146 (+4) after carding a pair of 73s.

Garrett Dagg of CS San Marcos was the leader in the clubhouse at 139 (-3) after rounds of 69-70.

The final round continues Tuesday.
