USC broke a school record in the 200y medley relay to highlight its efforts on the first day of the 2005 Pac-10 Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach, Calif., on Wednesday (March 2).

The unit of Viktor Bodrogi, Mihaly Flaskay, Sam Masson and Sean Sussex finished fourth but swam a 1:26.08 in the 200y medley relay to break the 2003 school record set by Jordie Proffitt, Flaskay, Jeff Lee and Mike Stoller. That unit went 1:27.44.

The foursome of Ous Mellouli, Bodrogi, Tyler Panos and Larsen Jensen then went 6:29.29 in the 800y free relay, finishing fourth though it was also a season best.

The meet continues Thursday through Saturday (March 3-5).
