No. 1 Stanford Blanks No. 27 Arizona State, 6-0

Tempe, Ariz. - No. 1 Stanford improved to 12-0 on the year with a 6-0 win at 27th-ranked Arizona State this afternoon. The Cardinal swept all six singles points and due to weather and time restrictions, the squads did not play doubles.

Amber Liu and Alice Barnes kicked things off for the Cardinal, winning in straight sets at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively. Erin Burdette, Theresa Logar, Whitney Deason and Anne Yelsey each added a win to their records today, as each won in three-set matches. Logar closed out her victory with a 6-0 third set, while Yelsey posted a 6-1 decision. Burdette and Deason both secured their victories with a 6-2 third set.

Stanford will have a break as student-athletes prepare for winter quarter finals, before hosting Pepperdine on March 20 at 12-noon at the Taube Tennis Center.
