No. 18 Beavers Shut Out Minnesota

Fullerton, Calif. - Junior Adrienne Alo led the team with two runs as the No. 18 Oregon State softball team shutout Minnesota 5-0 in their first game Saturday morning at the CSUF Worth Tournament.

Both games scheduled for Friday had been rained out.

Senior Kelly Peterson, junior Maggie DeWall and sophomore Mia Longfellow had the other three runs for the Beavers. Longfellow also had two RBI.

Sophomore pitcher Brianne McGowan gained the victory after allowing only two hits and striking out seven batters with no errors.

Oregon State takes on Pacific at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday before facing Nevada at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday.
