WSU Welcomes Alumni Back To Bailey-Brayton Field

PULLMAN, Wash. - Former Cougar baseball players are invited to attend the Washington State Baseball Alumni Weekend, April 1 through April 3, when the 2005 Cougars host the Stanford Cardinal in a three-game series at Bailey-Brayton Field.
Each night of the weekend, a different era of Cougar baseball will be honored. Friday, April 1, those alumni from 1990 to 2004 will be honored with former pitcher Garrett Alwert throwing out the honorary first pitch of the 6 p.m. game. Saturday afternoon, Joe McIntosh will throw out the first pitch for the 1 p.m. game as the Cougars recognize alumni from 1970 to 1989. Cougar baseball coaching legend Bobo Brayton will throw out the first pitch for Sunday's noon game as alumni from years prior to 1970 will be feted.
There will be multitude of activities offered for alumni to participate in and enjoy throughout the weekend, as listed below.
Friday, April 1Pre-game - Cougar baseball alumni are invited to participate in batting practice at Bailey-Brayton Field.6 p.m. - WSU vs. Stanford.Post-game - An evening social is scheduled at the Sports Page in downtown Pullman.
Saturday, April 28 a.m. - Golf for Cougar baseball alumni at the University of Idaho Golf Course in Moscow11 a.m. - Pre-game tailgate party held in the yellow parking lot outside of Bailey-Brayton Field.1 p.m. - WSU vs. Stanford.Post game - Fans will have an opportunity to participate in a photo and autograph session with the 2005 Cougar baseball team.Special event - The prep baseball teams from Skyview High of Vancouver, Wash., and Mead High, Colbert, Wash., will face-off at Bailey-Brayton Field.6:30 p.m. - Pre-dinner social hour at The Hilltop Restaurant, Pullman.7 p.m. - Alumni dinner The Hilltop.
Sunday, April 38 a.m. - Brunch for Cougar baseball alumni brunch and current Cougar players at the Hollingbery Field House.Noon - WSU vs. Stanford.
