Vincent Wins Platform At Zone E Championships

USC divers Ray Vincent, Kenny Jenkins and Michael Hilde finished first, second and third, respectively, on the platform while women's divers Blythe Hartley and Jashia Luna posted top five finishes as well on the board on the final day of the Zone E Diving Championships on Saturday (March 12) in Oklahoma City.
Vincent, an All-American each of the last two years on platform, won the competition with 539.15. Jenkins, a sophomore seeking his first NCAA berth, took second with 509.05 while fellow second-year Trojan and 2004 NCAA veteran Hilde was third with 477.45.
Hartley, a two-time career NCAA champion and six-time All-American about to return to the NCAA Championships after a year off to train for the 2004 Olympics, was USC's highest women's finisher with 411.15, good for fourth. Junior transfer Jashia Luna was fifth (404.80), freshman Ali Tycast was seventh (385.95) and junior Lindsay Draper was 12th (348.45).
Next up for USC is the 2005 NCAA women's swimming and diving championships, which run March 17-19. The men's NCAAs are held March 24-26.
