Men's Golf Tied For Eleventh Place At E-Z-GO Schenkel Invitational in Georgia

The No. 8 USC men's golf team shot an 11-over 299 on Saturday at the E-Z-GO Schenkel Invitational at the Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Georgia. The Trojans are tied with Clemson for 11th place after the first 36 rounds of stroke play.
Senior Ben Hayes shot a two-under-par 70 in the first round and a two-over 74 in the second to finish tied at par with David Skinns of Tennessee and Nathan Smith of Duke (144). Following the first two rounds, Hayes is the only Trojan in the top 25.
The University of Tennessee is in first place after shooting a two-over 290 in the first round and par in the second round to lead Auburn by one stroke. The University of South Carolina is tied with Duke for third place with a six-over, two-round score of 582.
Bronson LaCassie of Minnesota shot 4-under for the first two rounds (140) and sits atop the leader board. Four golfers are tied for second at two-under (142).
The final round will commence Sunday morning.
