NCAA Championships Close out for Beavers

West Lafayette, Ind. - Courtney Eads was the lone competitor for Oregon State today in the third and final session of the NCAA championships. Eads competed in the 200 butterfly, her third event of the meet. Unfortunately, her 36th place finish in the event failed to qualify for the finals heat, but it was her best finish overall at the meet.
The 200 butterfly wraps up the Oregon State's competition at the NCAA championships this year. The Beavers finished the meet without scoring any points or qualifying for any of the finals heats.
Eads finished the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:02.18. A time nearly two seconds off her season best time of 2:00.36.Mary Descenza, a junior from Georgia, won the event with a pool record time of 1:54.19.
