Softball Game Vs. Oklahoma Cancelled

FULLERTON, Calif.-- Washington's softball game against Oklahoma scheduled for 8:15 pm this evening has been cancelled due to rain delays at the Kia Klassic. The Huskies finish the tournament with a 2-2 record, defeating DePaul and Penn State and falling to Nebraska and Fresno State.

Freshman Ashley Charters led the Huskies with a .571 (8-for-14) average and boasts a 10-game hitting streak. She scored six runs and stole four bases over the weekend. Freshman Caitlin Noble hit .357 (5-for-14) with two doubles and struck out 21 batters in 14.1 innings of work. Sarah Hyatt hit two home runs for Washington with nine RBIs, while Aimee Minor hit two home runs with five RBIs.

Washington concludes its seven-day California trip with a game at Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday, March 22 at 4 p.m.
