Over the previous 11 years of NCAA Tournament action, the Pac-10 is 74-44 (.627) with national titles won by UCLA (1995) and Arizona (1997), and Final Four appearances by Arizona (2001) and Stanford (1998).

ARIZONA - The Wildcats are making their 24th appearance, posting a 39-22 (.639) record with four trips to the Final Four, including a national title in 1997... It's the 21st consecutive appearance for the Wildcats, the longest active streak in the NCAA... It's the 11th Sweet Sixteen appearance in the last 17 years for the Wildcats...The Wildcats are 37-19 (.661) under coach Lute Olson in NCAA Tournament play. Olson's career record in postseason play is 44-25 (.657)... Arizona has been seeded No. 3 or better in six of its last nine NCAA appearances, and 13 of its last 17 appearances... The Wildcats advance to the Sweet Sixteen after victories over Utah State and UAB. Senior guard Salim Stoudamire averaged 22.5 points in the two victories. Junior forward Hassan Adams averaged 13.0 points and 7.5 rebounds. Senior center Channing Frye collected eight blocked shots. As a team, Arizona held both opponents to under 37 percent shooting (Utah State - 36.4%, UAB - 32.8%)... Arizona will face Oklahoma State in the Chicago Region. Arizona leads the series, 2-0. The other teams in the Region (with series record) - Illinois (UA leads 6-5) and UW-Milwaukee (teams have never played against each other).

WASHINGTON - The Huskies are making their 12th appearance, posting a 12-12 (.500) record... It's the first Sweet Sixteen appearance for the Huskies since 1998... The Huskies averaged 92.5 points in the two victories, shooting a combined 55.7% from the field. A balanced Husky attack found five players averaging double digits after the first two games - junior guard Nate Robinson (16.0 ppg), junior guard Brandon Roy (15.5 ppg), junior forward Bobby Jones (15.0 ppg), senior guard Tre Simmons (15.0 ppg), junior forward Jamaal Williams (10.5 ppg) Washington will face Louisville in the Albuquerque Region semifinal. ARIZONA - Posted its 18th consecutive 20-win season, which is the longest active streak in the nation... With the Pac-10 title clinching victory at Arizona State in the final game of the regular season, coach Lute Olson set a Pac-10 record with his 305th league victory. He passed legendary UCLA coach John Wooden who posted a 304-74 (.810) record from 1949-75. Olson's record in Pac-10 games only stands at 305-87 (.778)... Senior guard Salim Stoudamire set a Pac-10 career record with 337 three-point field goals made, and established a Pac-10 single-season record with 115 three-pointers this season... Arizona has three players that have scored 1,000 or more points in their careers - Stoudamire (1,932), senior center Channing Frye (1,750) and junior forward Hassan Adams (1,235)... Frye ranks third on the UA all-time rebound list with 953 rebounds. His 249 career blocked shots rank second all-time in the Pac-10... Seniors Frye and Stoudamire enter the NCAA Chicago Regional with a four-year record of 101-30 (.771). This continues an Arizona basketball legacy that has seen every four-year player to enter the program since the fall of 1985 win at least 100 games in his career, a streak that covers the last 17 senior classes.

ARIZONA STATE - Junior center Ike Diogu has scored in double figures in all 91 games during his career. The NCAA record is 115 set by La Salle's Lionel Simmons from 1987-90, while Sean Elliott of Arizona (1985-89) scored in double digits in the final 108 games of his career... Diogu leads the nation in free throws made (248) and attempted (311). His 671 career free throws made rank second all-time in the Pac-10. Only UCLA's Don MacLean (711 From 1988-92) is ahead of Diogu. His 854 career free throw attempts trail Stanford's Adam Keefe (886 from 1989-92).... Diogu leads the Pac-10 in both scoring (22.6 ppg) and rebounding (9.8 rpg). Only A.C. Green of Oregon State (1985) and Mark McNamara of California (1982) have led the Pac-10 in both categories in the same season.

CALIFORNIA - Junior center David Paris led the Pac-10 in conference games by shooting 62.1 percent from the field... Junior forward Rod Benson was one of five players to be ranked among the top 10 in scoring and rebounding in league games. Benson averaged 13.7 points and 6.4 rebounds this season, showing a significant increase over the 2.6 points and 1.7 rebounds he averaged last season... Coach Ben Braun will enter next season needing just one win to reach career victory No. 500.

OREGON - Freshmen accounted for 51.8 percent of Oregon's offense this season (992 of 1,915 points)... It's the first time in school history that two freshmen have scored 300 or more points in the same season. Malik Hairston tallied 355 points, while Bryce Taylor posted 314 points... Hairston and Taylor were named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team. The last time Oregon was honored with two selections on the All-Freshman team was in 2001. That season, former Ducks and current NBA players Luke Jackson and Luke Ridnour earned similar honors... The Ducks have sold out Mac Court for 28 straight Pac-10 games.

OREGON STATE - At 17-15, it's the first winning season for the Beavers since 1990... Senior forward David Lucas is the first OSU player to be named All-Pac-10 in back-to-back seasons since Scott Haskins in 1992 and 1993... With 26 points in the NIT loss to CS Fullerton, Lucas became the 31st player in school history to reach 1,000 points. He finished his career with 1,019 points.. Junior forward Nick DeWitz, the Pac-10's Newcomer of the Year, ranks second on the school's single-season list with 52 blocked shots... The Beavers posted a 12-2 record at home this season.

Junior forward Matt Haryasz has recorded 11 career double-doubles, all coming this season. In fact, he's posted six double-doubles in the last 10 games... All-Pac-10 junior guard Dan Grunfeld averaged 17.9 points this season. His +14.3 ppg improvement from last season's average of 3.4 points per game was the best by a Division I player this year... Junior All-Pac-10 guard Chris Hernandez is one of two players (the other is Washington's Nate Robinson) in the Pac-10 to be ranked in the top 10 in both scoring (15.2 ppg) and assists (4.03 apg).

UCLA - The Bruins made their 39th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, posting a 85-32 (.726) record... Freshman point guard Jordan Farmar, the Pac-10's Freshman of the Year, led all Pac-10 freshman with 13.2 points per game and 5.28 assists per game... Farmar and teammate Arron Afflalo became the first freshmen backcourt tandem to start since Baron Davis and Earl Watson did it in the 1997-98 season. Before that? It was Michael Holton and Rod Foster in 1979-80, a good five years before either Farmar or Afflalo were born... Senior forward Dijon Thompson finished his career ranked 19th on UCLA's career scoring list with 1,458 points.

USC - On January 14, Tim Floyd was named the Trojan men's head basketball coach, effective on April 1, 2005. WASHINGTON - At 29-5, the Huskies equalled the school record of 29 victories established under Hec Edmundson in 1938... Senior guard Will Conroy set a UW single-season record with 211 assists. He also owns the UW career mark with 507 assists... With senior guard Tre Simmons and junior guard Nate Robinson earning All-Pac-10 honors, it's the first time since 1987 that two Huskies were named to the team. That season, teammates Phil Zevenbergen and Chris Welp were named All-Pac-10... The Huskies' 22-game home winning streak is currently the fourth longest in the country. Their 16-game Pac-10 home winning streak is the longest in school history.

WASHINGTON STATE - Senior guard Thomas Kelati became the first Cougar to earn All-Pac-10 since Carlos Daniel in 1998. Kelati's 81 three-point field goals were the third best single-season total in WSU history. His 232 career treys rank second on the school's list, just one shy of matching the school record of 233 set by Eddie Hill (1991-94)... Kelati finished his career with 1,081 points, placing him 18th on the school's all-time list... WSU led the league in scoring defense, allowing just 56.9 points per game. It's the lowest total in the Pac-10 since Oregon State held opponents to 55.8 points per game during the 1983-84 season (before the shot clock). In fact, WSU has held all but two opponents to 69 or fewer points this season... Seven of its last nine loses were by seven or fewer points.
