ESPN Will Air Seven Softball Contests

ESPNU, a new 24-hour college sports network, along with ESPN and ESPN2 will televise at least 44 regular-season college baseball and softball games from April 8 to May 22, it was announced today. The package includes 15 regular season softball games, seven of which will include two-time defending NCAA Champion UCLA.
Six of UCLA's first eight home games at the renovated Easton Stadium will be televised by the ESPN family of networks. Those games include:
April 15, Arizona State at UCLA (delayed, will air at 7 pm PT on ESPNU)
April 16, Arizona at UCLA (live at 2 pm PT on ESPNU)
April 17, Arizona at UCLA (live at 1 pm PT on ESPN)
April 29, California at UCLA (live at 1 pm PT on ESPNU)
April 30, Stanford at UCLA (delayed, will air at 6 pm PT on ESPN2)
May 1, Stanford at UCLA (delayed, will air at 7 pm PT on ESPN2)
May 6, UCLA at Arizona (live at 7 pm PT on ESPNU)
'We are very excited to be selected as a team that will be shown as part of this package,' said UCLA head coach Sue Enquist. 'It's great for the sport of softball to get this kind of exposure across the country.'
UCLA's next game will be on Mar. 29 with a 6 pm scheduled first pitch at Cal State Fullerton. The Bruins will then travel to Oregon State and Oregon for the opening games of Pac-10 play on April 1-3.
