Scarborough and Strack Named First Team All-Academic Pac-10

Seniors Kim Scarborough and Janine Strack headlined eight Pac-10 honors for the Bruin swimming and diving team as they both were named to the First Team All-Academic Pac-10 team on Thursday. Scarborough, who recently competed at the NCAA Championships, was named to the team after maintaining a 3.77gpa in Communication Studies, while Strack was honored for carrying a 3.89gpa in Psychology.

Also earning Honorable Mention honors were - junior Amanda Blong, junior Kendall Butler, sophomore Jane Imagane, sophomore Courtney Iversen, sophomore Isabel Miesner and senior Lindsey Smart.

The Bruins concluded the collegiate season last weekend at the NCAA Championships where they finished 18th as a team. This weekend, junior Kim Vandenberg, along with sophomores Katie Nelson, Katie Arnold and Isabel Miesner will head to Indianapolis, IN for the World Trials qualifier.
