Three Huskies Named to Pac-10 All-Academic Team

Seattle - Three Husky gymnasts earned first- or second-team Pac-10 All-Academic honors on Thursday. Senior Molly Seaman (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) was named to the first-team for the third-straight year, while senior Tacia LaBatte (Kaneohe, Hawaii) and senior Kimberly Lewis (Puyallup, Wash.) were named to the second-team.
Seaman, a zoology major who owns a 3.80 grade point average, has battled a knee injury for most of the season. When healthy, Seaman is the Huskies' top beam performer and a regular contributor in the bars lineup. LaBatte, a communications major and a dance minor, has a 3.65 grade point average. She has earned honorable mention honors the past two seasons and is a regular in the Huskies vault and bars lineup. Lewis boasts a 3.60 grade point average in psychology. She has earned honorable mention recognition the past two seasons and is a regular in the Huskies' bars lineup.
Washington's Kelly McDonald (Seattle, Wash.) and Nicole Waiss (Mill Creek, Wash.) earned honorable mention selections. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
