USC sophomore Larsen Jensen and former Trojan star Kaitlin Sandeno posted final appearances at the 2005 U.S. World Championship Trials on the first day of the meet on Friday (April 1) in Indianapolis, Ind.
Jensen, the NCAA champ in the 1650y free, took fifth in the 400m free in 3:53.93. He is the favorite to win the 1500m free later in the meet (he owns the American record in the event).
Sandeno posted a pair of final appearances, taking third in the 200y IM (2:14.32) and eighth in the 400m free (4:19.72). Like Jensen, she'll have other opportunities to make the U.S. team later in the meet.
