Eight Swimmers Named To Pac-10 All-Academic Teams

SEATTLE-- Eight Washington swimmers were named to the Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic teams, including five men and three women. Senior Jim Wolfe and junior Lorant Divald were both named to the first team.
Wolfe earns hit third-straight first team award with a 3.63 grade point average in Electrical Engineering, while Divald picks up his first all-academic award with a 3.48 grade point average in Microbiology.
Seniors Diogo Bezerra, Craig Gillis and Kevin Quinn were named to the All-Academic second team. Bezerra, who was an honorable mention selection last year, boasts a 3.08 GPA in Business Administration and Finance. Gillis earns hit first academic award with a 3.27 GPA in Biology. Quinn receives his second award in a row with a 3.29 GPA in Economics after being an honorable mention pick last season.
The Husky women had three swimmers named to the honorable mention team. Senior Anissa Hilyard and junior Lia Liu pick up their second-straight academic awards, while sophomore Brittany Epperson earns her first. Hilyard has a 3.20 grade point average in Sociology, while Liu has a 3.29 GPA in Communications. Epperson has a 3.27 GPA and has yet to declare a major.
