Women's Golf Finishes Ninth At PING/ASU Invitational

Tempe, Ariz. - The Stanford women's golf team shot a 295 on the final day of competition at the PING/ASU Invitational at Karsten Golf Course. Their three-round total of 900 (+36) gave them a ninth place finish overall. Arizona State and UCLA tied for top team honors afte firing a six-over 870 for the tournament. Pepperdine was third (888), Arizona fourth (891) and California placed fifth (894).

Sun Devils Louise Stahl led all individuals with a seven-under par 209 to capture top honors. Amie Cochran, from UCLA, finished second (212) while teammate Susie Matthews was third (213).

For the Cardinal, Kelly Husted tied for 11th overall with a five-over 221 (75-73-73) while teammate Lauren Todd tied for 20th (76-74-74). Golfer Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana placed 45th with a 228 (78-77-73) and Stephanie Lue tied for 46th with a 229 (78-76-75). Senior Wendra Liang tied for 65th with a 234 (76-77-81). Jenna Seki, competing as an individual, finished tied for 86th (84-79-81).
