No. 11 Beavers head to the Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic

The Beavers who are currently ranked 11th in the USRowing Rankings, travel to Redwood City California for the Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic. It will feature over twenty college crews from across the nation. Other Pac-10 schools competing this weekend include, No. 2 California, No. 3 Washington, and No. 13 Stanford.

We are really looking forward to this weekends races,' Said Fred Honebein, Oregon States Head Coach, 'we get to race against Cal who is always one of the top programs in the nation., Wisconsin, who is always a dangerous team, and Michigan who is a dangerous team as well.'

The Varsity Eight Will be rowing at 9:56 AM vs. No. 2 California on Saturday. Then later on in the day at 4:06 PM they will battle No. 13 Wisconsin. Then on Saturday at 10:40 they will race against No. 17 Michigan.

'This is the finest field that we've had in the three years since the inception of the Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic back in 2003,' said Craig Amerkhanian, Stanford director of rowing and men's head coach.
