WSU To Play Three Games And 7-A-Side Tournament In Spring

Pullman, Wash. - The Washington State soccer team will play the University of Idaho at 10 a.m. the Saturday of WSU's Mom's Weekend at Lower Soccer Field. The Cougars will play Portland and the Mexican Women's National team before hosting the annual 7-A-Side Tournament April 23 and 24.
WSU will play the Portland Pilots April 16 at 3 p.m. at Merlo Field in the Clive Charles Soccer Complex before taking on Mexico's Women's National Team Sunday, April 17 at 1 p.m.
The Cougars wrap up their spring season hosting the seventh annual 7-A-Side Classic. The tournament features over 40 teams, including Div. I teams as well as top northwest club teams. Games are 30 minutes long, played on a 65-by-50 yard field and each team has seven players on the field.
The Pilots were the only ranked team to beat the Cougars in 2004, handing WSU a 2-0 loss at home. They finished the 2004 season 20-4, losing to eventual National Champions Notre Dame on the road in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.
