Michael Seemann Named Assistant Coach at Portland State

Corvallis, Ore. - Portland State volleyball coach Jeff Mozzochi announced the hiring of Michael Seemann as the Vikings' associate head coach on Thursday. Seemann spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Oregon State.
Seemann, a PSU graduate, returns to his alma mater after a successful stint with the Beavers. He currently coaches the Columbia Empire Region High Performance team, which is affiliated with USA Volleyball.
Prior to his stop in Corvallis, Seeman opened his coaching career at the club and community college level, serving as head coach at Mt. Hood Community College. He is a former head coach in the Nike Northwest Juniors club program.
Seemann was named the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) Coach of the Year in both 2000 and 2001. Mt. Hood went a combined 92-9 during those two seasons and won the NWAACC Championship both years. In four seasons at Mt. Hood, he posted a 159-33 record (.828).
