Strack Advanced to US Open in the Platform Diving Competition

Senior diver Janine Strack advanced to Saturday's US Open competition after placing 13th place in the qualifying rounds of the platform at the Mabee Memorial Aquatic Center in Midland, TX on Thursday. Strack had a total score of 205.17 to advance to the US Open.

UCLA freshman Brittany Renfrow has also qualified for the US Open after placing ninth on the three-meter yesterday with a score of 218.52 and will compete on Friday in that event.

The US Open is where the World University Games team is chosen and is also a springboard for possible future international competitions.
