UCLAS's Daniel Im Named Pac-10 Golfer Of The Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--Daniel Im of UCLA has been named Pacific-10 Conference Golfer of the Month for March.
Im, a freshman from Fullerton, Calif., won his first collegiate tournament with a victory in the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship. Im opened the tournament with a round of 66, closed it with a 68 and won the tournament in a playoff. Among the players Im finished ahead of in the event were No. 1-ranked Ryan Moore of UNLV, the defending U.S. Amateur Champion, No. 2-ranked Spencer Levin of New Mexico, No. 4-ranked Pablo Martin of Oklahoma State and 2003 NCAA champion Alejandro Canizares of Arizona State.
In his other tournament of the month, Im placed second in the rain-shortened Western Intercollegiate with rounds of 68 and 70. His stroke average for the month of March was 69.8.
Others nominated for player of the month honors were James Lepp of Washington, Nathan Lashley of Arizona and Matt Ma of Oregon.
