Cardinal Men Host U.S. Intercollegiate Presented By The Maple Fund

Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford men's golf team will host the U.S. Intercollegiate presented by the Maple Fund, April 16-17, at the Stanford Golf Course (par 71, 6,786 yards) this weekend. Teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and the final 18 on Sunday.
Participating teams include: host-Stanford, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, UCLA, USC, Oregon, Oregon State, California, UC Irvine, San Francisco, San Jose, Pacific, Santa Clara, Fresno State, San Diego State and Long Beach State.
An 8 a.m. shotgun start will kick off all three rounds of play.
UCLA (279-277-284--840) won the tournament last year while San Diego State's Mark Warman (71-62-73--206) was crowned the individual champion.
Last year the Cardinal finished tied for fifth (289-296-287--872) at the U.S. Intercollegiate. Kyle Gentry tied for fourth individually with a 210 (69-72-69) while Zack Miller tied for 12th (75-70-70--215). Golfer Kevin Blue tied for 14th (69-69-78--216). Matthew Shin tied for 49th (225) and Matt Savage tied for 59th (227). Cardinal Scott MacDonald tied for 73rd (230) while Pat Phillips tied for 93rd (238).
