Cassidy Krug Earns Bronze Medal At China Open

April 3, 2005

Zhuhal, China - Current Stanford diver Cassidy Krug teamed with Iowa's Nancilea Underwood to earn a bronze medal in the 3-meter synchronized event at the China Open held April 1-3. Krug was also eighth in the 3-meter individual competition.

'Cassidy dove great in China and represented the United States well,' said Stanford head diving coach Dr. Rick Schavone. 'This is a good start for her. She will be diving for the U.S. team in the USA Open in Ft. Lauderdale this May and hopefully will qualify for the World Championship team this summer.'
