Hall In Second-Place After First Day Of Mt. SAC Relays Heptathlon

UCLA sophomore Nastassja Hall is in second-place following the first day of heptathlon competition at the Mt. SAC Relays. The multi-events are being held at Azusa Pacific University.

Hall's first-day total of 3,049 points (personal-best), after four events, trails first-place Katie Lloyd, from Colorado State, by just 53 points (Lloyd 3,102/Hall 3,049).

In her four events - Hall ran a 15.50 (1.1w) in the 100m hurdles (777 points), leaped 5-5 (personal-best) in the high jump, had a mark of 35-7.25 (personal-best) in the shot put and ran the 200m in 24.94 (w2.5).

On Thursday, Hall will complete the heptathlon competition (long jump, javelin and 800m).

Last season, she placed fifth in the heptathlon at the Pac-10, with 4,975 points.
