USC's Women's Rowing Travels To Columbus, Ohio

The USC women's rowing team will travel this week to Columbus, Ohio, to take on No.4 Ohio State and No. 19 Minnesota. The Varsity Eight and Four will compete, as well as the JV Eight on Saturday, April 16, on the Scioto River.

The Novice Eight will compete in the Newport Regatta in Newport Beach, Calif., on Saturday, April 16. Among the Novice teams they will face Orange Coast College and UC Davis.

The Trojans' Varsity Eight team holds on to the No.12 ranking in the April 13, US Rowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I poll for the second week in a row.

Leading the Women of Troy in the Varsity Eight are: (cox) Kathryn Weslow, (stroke) Simone Manhold, Barbora Varekova, Ligita Kaviere, Dunja Pejcic, Anna Efremova, Diana Ivanova, Laura McDaniel, Tatiana Boldyreva.

The Varsity Four will be headed by: (cox) Elizabeth O'Neill, (stroke) Kinga Marciszewska, Anne Molholm, Phebe Greenwood, Shelley Koskovich.

Commanding the JV Eight will be: (cox) Elizabeth O'Neill, (stroke) Brittany Mohr, Megan Biging, Natalie Beglau, Kate Donovan, Sarah Pomeroy, Jessica Smith, Kate Kaso, Lauren Derby.

USC women's rowing defeated Loyola Marymount in all four races on April 9. The USC Varsity Eight, with a time of 6:36.10, led the Trojans in a convincing victory over LMU, who finished with a time of 6:57.38.
