Varsity Eight Moves Into Top Ten

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Oregon State moved into the top ten in Wednesday's USRowing Men's Varsity Eight Collegiate Coaches Poll, for the first time this season.

Following an impressive showing last weekend at the Windermere Crew Classic at Redwood City, Calif., the OSU crew moved in the USRowing Men's Varsity Eight Collegiate Coaches Poll to ninth in the country.

Previously ranked 13th, the Beavers' Varsity Eight beat then-12th ranked Wisconsin Saturday and then-17th ranked Michigan on Sunday. OSU also rowed well against No. 2 California in a Saturday loss.

OSU is off from competition this week but face Pac-10 rivals Stanford and UCLA next Saturday, April 22 at Redwood City, Calif.
