Trent Bray Named to Lott Trophy Watch List

Corvallis, Ore - Oregon State University senior linebacker Trent Bray has been named to the 2005 Lott Trophy Watch List, it was announced today by the IMPACT Foundation of the Pacific Club in Newport Beach, Calif.
Bray, a middle linebacker, led the Beavers and was second in the Pacific-10 Conference last season with 122 tackles. The Pullman, Wash., native enters the season with 22 consecutive starts and has 221 career tackles, 60 shy of the school's career top 10 list. Bray was a second team All-Pac-10 Conference selection last season and was the Insight Bowl's Defensive Player of the Game.
Named after Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott, the Trophy goes to the college defensive player of the year who has the biggest IMPACT both on and off the field. Criteria for the award include integrity, maturity, performance, academics, community and tenacity. It is the only college award that is based on both performance and character.
Bray is one of 42 student-athletes on the Watch List and one of eight from the Pacific-10 Conference.
