Day Two Pac-10 Championships Summary

Ojai, Calif. - The California women's tennis team concluded the second day of play at the Pac-10 Individual Championships this evening in Ojai, Calif. The Pac-10's, held in conjunction with the 105th Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament, will decide the Conference's singles and doubles champions.
Cal had two players remaining on Day Two in the singles invite draw, but both fell in quarterfinal action. Junior co-captain Jessica Shu was narrowly edged by Kasia Jakowlew of Arizona, 7-6; 7-5. Freshman Tiffany Lee was defeated by Washington State's Amy Toth, 6-3; 6-2.
In doubles play, the freshman duo of Marion Ravelojaona and Cristina Visico, who received a first-round bye, defeated Washington State's Amy Toth and Aleksandra Stefanova, 8-5, to advance to the semifinals in the invite draw.
Play continues Saturday, April 23 in Ojai, Calif., with singles beginning at 9 a.m. and doubles beginning at 2p.m.
