WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State sophomore Brianne McGowan has been named Pacific-10 Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 19-25, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced on Tuesday. The Pac-10 honor is the fourth this season for McGowan - marking the first time that an Oregon State pitcher has received the weekly award four times in their career.

Her 236 strikeouts on the season rank third on the OSU single season chart. McGowan has 11 victories on the season against teams ranked in the Top 25 and all four of her losses have come against teams ranked in the Top 18.
The Beavers have won 29 of their last 31 games and are off to their best start ever in Pac-10 action with a 10-2 record.
