Wooding's 67 Low Round On Final Day Of Pac-10 Championships
April 27, 2005
Sophomore Joshua Wooding shot the low round of the day (67) and also was USC's top overall finisher as the Trojans finished seventh on the final day of the 72-hole 2005 Men's Pac-10 Golf Championships at the Walla Walla (Wash.) Country Club on Wednesday (April 27).
USC finished at a combined 1444 (+24). Washington and Arizona State tied for first at 1425 (+5) each, but because the Huskies' final round total was lower than the Sun Devils, UW earned the Pac-10 team championship.
Wooding finished with a four-day total of 286 overall (+2), tied for 17th overall. Junior Taylor Wood, who shot a final-day 72, finished at 287 (+3), tied for 19th, while junior Tyler Ley checked in at 289 (+5) after shooting a 76 today.
Sophomore Jordan Nasser finished at 290 (+6), tied for 28th, while senior Ben Hayes shot a 74 on Wednesday to finish at 295 (+11), tied for 41st. Junior Bradley Shaw shot a 76 to close at 302 (+18), in 56th.
Wooding was smoking on the final day, posting six birdies, including five on the front 9.
