Men's Tennis To Host NCAA First and Second Rounds May 13-14

SEATTLE, Wash. - The 12th-ranked Washington men's tennis team earned a No. 15 seed and has been selected to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Championships, May 13-14. The four-team field playing at Bill Quillian Stadium on the UW campus will include the Huskies (18-4), Oral Roberts (13-12), SMU (15-12) and USC (11-12).
First round matches will be played on Friday, May 13, with SMU and USC set to face each other at 10 a.m. PT, followed by Washington's contest with Oral Roberts at 2 p.m. PT. The winners will play in the regional final on Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. PT for the right to advance to the 16-team NCAA finals in College Station, Texas, May 21-24.
Ticket prices are $5 for general admission and $3 for students. No admission will be charged for children under the age of two years old.
Washington is making its 11th-straight trip to the NCAA Championships under head coach Matt Anger. UW, who has advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 in three of the last four years, is coming off its first-ever share of the Pac-10 team title finishing with a 6-1 league record.
The NCAA men's singles and doubles championships will the follow the team championships in College Station, Texas, May 25-30. Those individual selections will be announced Thursday, May 5.
