Women's Tennis Gains NCAA Regional Bid

TEMPE, Ariz. - For the 20th time in the past 21 years under head coach Sheila McInerney, the Arizona State University women's tennis team (10-7) earned a bid into the postseason and will travel to Los Angeles to compete in the NCAA Regionals hosted by the University of Southern California. The Sun Devils earned a No. 2 seed at the regional and will face No. 3 seed San Diego State (16-10) in a first round match up on Friday, May 13 at 9:00 a.m.

 

No. 1 seed USC (16-3) will take on No. 4 seed Illinois-Chicago (13-10) in the other first round dual following ASU's dual with SDSU. The two first round winners will square off against one another on Saturday, May 14 with the champion advancing to the NCAA Round of 16 Team Championship on May 19-22 in Athens, Georgia.
