UCLA Earns Fifth Seed in the Men's Golf NCAA West Regional

The 14th ranked UCLA men's golf team earned its 13th consecutive berth into the NCAA West Regional Championship to be hosted this year at the Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto.

Tennessee (East) and Notre Dame (Central) will host the other regional tournaments on their home courses.

The top-seeded team in the West was UNLV, followed by New Mexico, Auburn and Arizona State. Pac-10 champion Washington was seeded 10th and USC ninth. Georgia was seeded No.1 in the East and Oklahoma State was the top seed in the Central Region. Defending NCAA champion Cal did not earn an invitation.

Ten teams and two individuals who are not members of advancing teams will move on from each regional to the championship finals, June 1-4 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Ownings, MD.
