Ashley Francis Represents OSU In The 5,000 Meters At The Pac-10 Championships

Los Angeles, Calif. - Oregon State women's track finished the second and final day of competition at the Pacific-10 Championships in Los Angeles, California this Sunday.

Ashley Francis and Kaitlin Poggi were the two runners set to race today, Francis in the 5,000 meters and Poggi in the 1,500 meters.

Poggi qualified for the finals in the 1,500 yesterday after finishing 13th of 17 runners overall in the trial heat of the event, however she did not compete today as intended.

Francis competed in the 5,000 as planned, placing 15th of 16 runners overall with a time of 18:27.09.

The Beavers are set to compete in the Willamette Last Chance Meet next weekend in Salem, Oregon.
